Franklin Burroughs taught English literature at Bowdoin College from 1968 to 2002. He is the author of several books, including The River Home: A Return to the Low Country,Billy Watson's Croker Sack, and Confluence: MerryMeeting Bay. He lives in Topsham, Maine.
